➵ Stolen Cores ➸ a cross-over fic
origin: [x] Basis of Characters
Inspired by Tsubasa Chronicle. Sayuri is my OC from an RP I did a long time ago. This is just a starter for an idea of a story I’ve wanted to do. While I did have a bit of struggle with who was going to be the main characters, I figured it out and decided to bring my own OC into the story. Please read at your own discretion for this will involve a lot of different characters and probably bull-crap. Be it as it may, it’s the first chapter so a lot of the story is and will be choppy until I get the hang of things of how and where this story is going to go. Characters included in this story will or may be a little OOC but I shall try my best to keep them IC as much as possible. Let me know what you all think and I shall do my best. Let’s see how many fandoms I can include, hm?
Chapter 1: A Sort of Beginning
The motorcycle shifted in and out of the streets of Gaia, on his way toward a location that his partner had messaged to him. His blonde spiked hair flowed with the wind, his goggles down to avoid getting anything caught in his eyes that would possibly hinder him from driving. The location was something that Tifa Lockhart had said to be utter importance, saying that there was a disturbance of magic and with the Lifestream. Even from where the motorcyclist was currently at, he could see the strange flow of Lifestream going down toward a certain part of the broken down city.
His phone rang again and he muttered something that was rather incoherent before letting the phone go to voicemail. He could already hear Tifa’s voice telling him to come home soon; Denzel and Marlene miss him.
That was when he was caught off-guard by a girl with red hair came flying toward him, wielding what he assumed to be a staff. Pulling Fenrir to a sudden halt, he watched in stunned silence as she descended, landing on her feet before she shouted something in a language he could not understand. But a familiar stream of instant fireballs appeared, aimed at these strange demonic like creatures that he knew did not belong at all in Gaia. Withdrawing his own weapon, the Buster Sword, he jumped up through the air to assist the stranger before she shouted, “Away!” Her body shifted into a position that looked like she was about to swing her staff and when she did so, for a moment… nothing happened.
Then a sudden boom echoed through the plains, one that could be heard from where Tifa stood at home.
Cloud Strife was instantly blasted backward into a nearby rock face. With a grunt, he looked up toward where he had seen the girl moments ago to see her hovering before she gently floated on over toward where he was. She appeared young, perhaps as young as Yuffie, and the last time he had seen someone with those colored eyes was Vincent, but something about her was completely different from his companion. She was small, wearing only a crimson short red dress that rested on her mid-thighs with a black jacket on top. She wore a matching black leather boots with a slight heel. Part of him wondered how it was possible for her to be hovering without the use of materia…
She appeared apologetic and moved forward to gently touch him. He flinched at the contact and felt his body warm before he glanced down, noticing his body glowing a strange light blue. They descended to the ground, landing softly before his expressions seemed to got a hold of him before he could even ask her anything.
“I’m Sayuri,” she introduced herself. “And I’m here to warn and perhaps even help, your world from an enemy.”
He blinked in lack of understanding and confusion. “… I’m sorry, but… warn… us how?”
She seemed warm though, and Cloud could feel it in every fiber of his being. Something about her seemed powerful, strong, but also… weak. Where did she come from?
“Of a man who is coming to your world to steal your world’s lifeforce and end it in the process.”
“The lifestream?” Cloud inquired uncertainly.
She glanced up and then looked back toward him. Now that she was standing before him, he noted that she was considerably short, but with extremely long hair that ended around her thighs. And the staff that he had seen moments ago, was now gone. She shook her head.
“Yes and no,” she answered quietly. “The thing that makes up what your world is. If it is this… ‘Lifestream’ that runs through your world, then yes, they will come after it. They will want to destroy this world…” she paused, her expression solemn, “and that’s not including this planet that we are on… but everything in it.”
